!? Sr. Mary Ephrem Neuzil “Our Lady of America” (1956-1959)

!? Sr. Mary Ephrem Neuzil “Our Lady of America” (1956-1959)

STATUS: 'NON CONSTAT' - NOT OBJECTIVELY SUPERNATURAL.

This was officially declared by Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Indiana, and five other bishops of the investigation commission circa 2019 - to May 7, 2020 that the visions of 'Our Lady of America' to Sr. Mary Ephrem Neuzil (1916-2000) 'NOT OBJECTIVELY SUPERNATURAL' like  Lourdes, Fatima or Guadalupe, but HUMAN in origin affected by HUMAN IMAGINATION.

Meaning they are now NOT OFFICIALLY RECONGISED BY THE CHURCH

The bishop has declared that since the prayers, pictures, and medals were approved by the ecclesial authorities, these may still be used privately, BUT, the visions themselves are NOT of an OBJECTIVE SUPERNATURAL origin and therefore public devotion to Our Lady of America is not permitted. Bishop Rhoades said:

"I must come to the conclusion that the visions and revelations themselves cannot be said to be of supernatural origin in the sense of objective occurrences," Bishop Rhoades said in a final document known as a singular decree, adding that he "cannot approve or support public devotion or cult."

Regarding the experiences of Sister Neuzil, the bishops said their study concluded that they should be described as "subjective inner religious experiences rather than objective external visions and revelations."

While saying such experiences were "authentically graced moments," the document from the bishops added that they were "subjective ones in which her own imagination and intellect were constitutively engaged," not "objective visions and revelations of the type seen at Guadalupe, Fatima, and Lourdes."

IN ALL: THESE MESSAGES WERE OF HUMAN ORIGIN and NOT real objective visions like Our Lady of Guadalupe, Fatima and Lourdes. Therefore, 'Our Lady of America' is NOT Church approved.

Before I reprint the official announcement released to the public – I'm not surprised at this decision: personally, I too felt something was 'wrong' with this apparition as Sr. Mary Ephrem also made a 'self-fulfilling' 'failed' contradictory prophecy in 1980s.

According to the vision or message from Sr. Ephrem, Our Lady said the USA was the country destined to bring peace to the world, however, we know this is false as the Great Monarch prophecies over the centuries have shown that it is the CATHOLIC MONARCHY of FRANCE that is destined to do this, not the (Masonic!) democratic government of the USA.

Therefore, we have a contradictory prophecy that goes against many other approved mystics and saints prophecies, which shows something is wrong There is also a hint in the very message itself that the USA would FAIL to do it, and that the nations would fail to follow America's lead in this regard, aka leading the world to peace:

“Our Lady” (Nov. 22, 1980) “It is the United States that is to lead the world to peace….If, however, the United States is faithful to this mandate from heaven and yet fails in the pursuit of peace because the rest of the world will not accept or cooperate then the United States will not be burdened with the punishment about to fall.”

Since France is destined to bring the peace, and the message above mentions a possible failure of America with regards to bringing the peace, it seems Heaven made a prophecy that was doomed to fail anyway? Very strange and shows something is not right.

In any case, we can see according to the weight of history unfolding things have actually turned out backwards and the prophecy has failed in another sense in that sadly, the USA for a long time has not been a nation of peace but has caused many wars and meddles in the politics of other nations. Note, this prophecy was given in the 1980s during the Cold War crisis, and yes, the USA was given a chance all right then when Communist Russia collapsed, (perhaps Sr. May Ephrem actually 'read' the situation of the times and made up a prophecy to further a period of peace since the bishops declared human imagination was involved), but we see this fell apart - the country in the following years was basically geared itself to creating wars in order to pump up its economy via what is now been termed the Industrial War Complex.

The opposite has happened and the nations of the world resisted America's plans for war, not peace. There was a good reason the nations of the world resisted Pres. Bush Jr. regarding the invasion into Afghanistan and Iraq, despite the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein, we see how there were no WMDs or any such like that warranted destabilising a whole country that has been in upheaval since. Wars and destructive meddling has spread everywhere with no real peace in sight yet.

Bl. Elena Aeillo's prophecy has proved more accurate – if the world did not convert, America would battle Russia with its secret armies, but would be weakened. Also, the mystic Theresa Neumann is proving correct as well – that because of its generosity to less well off nations America would not know an invading force on its soil, but would suffer chastisements for its sins through natural disasters which would weaken it economically.

Regarding chastisements, Sr. Mary Ephrem also makes another contradictory 'self-failing prophecy' statement on Feb, 11, 1981 that 'time was short' and that a 'terrible purification is about to befall all nations'.

So if America did pursuit the peace, she said it would not be burdened with the punishment about to befall, however, she says that ALL nations were going to suffer a terrible purification-so only three months later after saying America was chosen to bring in the peace, Sr. Mary is saying America would fail and would suffer too anyway and be punished along with all other nations?!

What a switch. Why bother to make a prophecy about America being 'destined to bring the peace' at all then? Heaven does not waste its time or effort. We've already known France is destined to usher in the Age of Peace, so these prophecies from Sr. Mary Ephrem were doomed to fail from the beginning since they've contradicted themselves in addition to contradicting credible and accepted prophecies from mystics.

Obviously, something was 'off' since we have “pre-programmed failure prophecies” from Sr. Mary Ephrem and “Our Lady of America”.

She said St. Joseph was a 'co-redeemer' with Christ - the bishops of the investigation commission noted that a claim regarding St. Joseph as a "co-redeemer" with Christ" must be seen as an error."

:::::::::::::::::::

ANGELS NOT IN SCRIPTURE: while the bishops say there is no doctrinal error in the revelations (apparently the earlier 'visions' of Our Lady), Sr. Mary Ephrem said she saw the Angels of the United States in a later vision in August 22, 1981 and was given their names: "Sultra" which she says means the Power of God, is the guardian and protector of the US and also the Archangel "Sardus", Strength of God.

If a vision tries to reveal angel names not in Scripture, it is a sign of a fake vision as it 1) goes against revealed Scriptures / the Bible, and the 2) the Church's direction NOT to invoke angels who are not revealed in the Scriptures. Real visions would not go against the teachings of the Church. (Click here to see why we must beware of 'Angel Names'.)

Below is a full report about the Official Ruling from the Church on 'Our Lady of America' from the Catholic News Service, May 7, 2020:

WASHINGTON (CNS) -- Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Indiana, and five other bishops have concluded that alleged apparitions of Our Lady of America -- said to have taken place more than six decades ago -- were not of supernatural origin.

While private devotion inspired by reports of the apparitions could continue without harm to the faith, Bishop Rhoades said, it would not be appropriate for any sort of public devotion.

"I must come to the conclusion that the visions and revelations themselves cannot be said to be of supernatural origin in the sense of objective occurrences," Bishop Rhoades said in a final document known as a singular decree, adding that he "cannot approve or support public devotion or cult."

The investigation concerned numerous apparitions reported by Sister Mary Ephrem Neuzil, a Sister of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus of Dayton, Ohio, between 1956 and 1959. At the time, it was reported that Mary had appeared to Sister Neuzil and had identified herself as Our Lady of America.

Sister Neuzil died in 2000. Both before and after the reported apparitions, she said she had other communications or locutions from Mary that took place in several dioceses.

Concurring with the conclusion reached by Bishop Rhoades were five other bishops from the dioceses where Sister Neuzil had stayed during this period: Archbishops Dennis M. Schnurr of Cincinnati, and Allen H. Vigneron of Detroit along with Bishops Thomas J. Olmsted of Phoenix, Timothy L. Doherty of Lafayette, Indiana and Daniel E. Thomas of Toledo, Ohio.

In an interview with Catholic News Service, Bishop Rhoades said he had agreed to a request by the other five bishops to form a commission of six theologians and canonists to investigate the apparitions. He was chosen as the lead bishop of the commission because the alleged apparitions began in Rome City, Indiana, which is in his diocese.

He described the commission as "a very balanced group that was open to the possibility that the apparitions were authentic."

But after what he said was a year of study of the vast documentation of the case, all members of the commission concluded that the apparitions were not supernatural in origin.

In an explanatory document called "Statement Regarding the Devotion to Our Lady of America" and signed by all six bishops, they said that Sister Neuzil appeared to have been "honest, morally upright, psychologically balanced, devoted to religious life and without guile." They also said there were spiritual fruits that came from the devotion, although none warranted certification as miraculous.

The bishops said there was not any doctrinal error in the revelations, though the report added that a claim regarding St. Joseph as a "co-redeemer" with Christ "must be seen as an error."

Regarding the experiences of Sister Neuzil, the bishops said their study concluded that they should be described as "subjective inner religious experiences rather than objective external visions and revelations."

While saying such experiences were "authentically graced moments," the document added that they were "subjective ones in which her own imagination and intellect were constitutively engaged," not "objective visions and revelations of the type seen at Guadalupe, Fatima, and Lourdes."

The report also noted that Sister Neuzil's spiritual director was a priest who later became archbishop of Cincinnati, Archbishop Paul F. Leibold. He had supported Sister Neuzil in various ways over many years. "However, in a letter written two years before his death," the document noted that the archbishop said "he was unable to make a judgment on the supernatural nature of the visions or apparitions."

While he said he attested to the sister's holiness, he wrote: "I have never taken any action to promote her devotion publicly."

The bishops concluded that since many of the prayers and religious articles such as medals have been given approval by "competent ecclesiastical authority," the use of such materials could continue "as a matter of private devotion."

In explaining the origins of the commission, Bishop Rhoades said that after receiving requests from bishops for some sort of assessment regarding the purported apparitions, then-president of the U.S. bishops conference, Cardinal Daniel N. DiNardo of Galveston-Houston, asked the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith if this was the appropriate competence of the conference.

The doctrinal congregation said it was more appropriately the responsibility of the local bishop where the apparitions and locutions were said to have occurred. This case was unusual in that several dioceses were involved, and all the bishops were asked to review and approve the final report.

Sister Neuzil, baptized Mildred, was born in 1916 and became a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus in 1933. In 1938, she said she started to experience mystical events, the report said.

Bishop Rhoades expressed appreciation for leaders of the devotion who provided the commission with literally thousands of pages of correspondence and other materials for review. "They are faith-filled, wonderful people," he said.
