!? Julia Kim, Naju South Korea (1985 to present day)

STATUS: CONDEMNED by the local Archbishop in 1991 as NOT SUPERNATURAL and of HUMAN ORIGIN with plagiarised elements from other books, and POSSIBLY PRETERNATURAL (DEMONIC) 'MIRACLES'. Kim and her followers are also in complete disobedience to the local ordinary and have refused to follow him.  The fake apparition site also carries an AUTOMATIC ORDER OF EXCOMMUNICATION from the local archbishop as of 2008.

Julia Kim Yoon Hong-Sun from Naju South Korea, sometimes simply known as Julia Kim, claimed to have a miraculous statue of Our Lady the wept, and then she received messages from that point on. Also claimed to see 'miracle Eucharists' falling from out of thin air, and that the Eucharist would turn into a lump of flesh on her tongue when she received it.

However, the local archbishop had a scathing report of these apparitions after having set up a Commission to investigate that events, he declared these were not authentic Eucharistic miracles, but possibly demonic

::::::::::::::::::::::

Before I share what the Archbishop declared, here are my own personal observations:

I remember seeing a video of her a long time ago regarding the 'Eucharistic Miracles'- and to me it didn't look good and supports what the archbishop decided.

  The freakish tell tale sign: Kim sees hosts 'falling from the sky' - the video I saw showed one dropping from a couple of feet in the air and hitting an altar in front of her as if it was carelessly dropped, Kim franctically trying to catch it before it fell, (if it was a real consecrated host at all), and it looked so diabolical.  God would NEVER allow a consecrated host to simply fall in an undignified manner onto objects and bounce, or have a mystic play 'catch' with It,  etc, completely out of character for Heaven which demands the deepest respect for the Blessed Sacrament.  That is something only Satan and his demons wish they could do and would try to do.   Remember, Heaven  sent the Angel of Peace to the children of Fatima to bring them Communion, which many believe to be St. Micahel who is honoured as the Angel of Portugal.  He reverently brought it and had it suspended in the air as he bowed down to the ground.  It just didn't drop out of the sky to them.  Heaven doesn't 'fling' consecrated Hosts about.

Another sign I saw in the video that she is a fake, if the flesh that transformed in her mouth was the Blessed Sacrament, why did she not allow the priest who consecrated the Host in the first place to touch it?  I saw the priest go and to try and remove the flesh, but she suddenly acted like she couldn't let him and pulled away from him-- how come Heaven would not let the priest take it with his consecracted fingers?  Heaven allows signs of a Eucharistic miracle to be preserved, we've got many examples of the Host turned to Flesh in shrines all around Chistendom through the centuries and they were all PRESERVED, so why not with her unless it was a demonic swap and she couldn't let a priest's fingers near it as the fake would be discovered? Also, the fact she wouldn't give it to the priest as requested is a sign of disobedience.

Satan can cause matter to be translaocted into a possessed person's throat and mouth, exorcists get pelted with nails, and all sorts of objects from the mouths of the possessed.

The bishop rightly declared these so-called Eucharistic miracles  'possibly preternatural' in Kim's case, i.e. demonic. The theologian Ron Conte has written an article explaining why Julia Kim's so-called various Eucharistic and 'Blood' miracles are actually demonic, click here.

The 'miraculous rose petals' that show 'holy images' and also drop out of the sky, etc, must also be preternatural then as Satan can also manipulate matter to a certain extent and cause the veins in the roses to be morphed and appear as if images manisfesting in them, and he knows are human brains are wired to seek out images, or see patterns and make them into pictures - we are in Satan's Cenutry after all, and he has been given extraordinary freedom to work his satanic wonders to fool people.

In this day and age, 'miracles' are no longer secure proof a mystic is authentic as Satan can mimic many of them, which include bleeding or weeping statues, stigmata, wounds on the body, dropping things out of thin air, and making things materialise in people's throats and mouths.

The following is from the first official declaration of 'Not Supernatural, Possibly Preternatural', of the Archbishop in 1998 (Source, click here):

1.1. In the so-called "Messages of Our Lady of Naju," which Julia claims have come from Our Lady, there are several human and artificial elements involved. Because of this, there are several parts which appear to be lacking in genuineness and credibility.

In the first place, in the contents there are parts comparable to imitations, plagiarism and quotations from recognized books such as of Father Gobbi's "To the most beloved priests of the Blessed Mother" and "The message of the Sacred Heart" published by the Catholic Publishing House, Seoul.

There are also parts which appear to be purposely manipulated, omitted or inserted as the result of the influence of people around [Mrs. Julia Youn] and according to the circumstances. Examples of this are: the appearance of miraculous water, making a Sanctuary, building a Basilica. In addition, there are discrepancies between Julia's own handwritten diaries and published materials. Moreover, the content that owing to Mrs. Julia Youn, [God] the Father seems to delay the final time (cf. the content which seems to be regarded as "The Word of the Father" heard on 16 July 1995), which is already decided and thus only the Father knows (cf. "Catechism of the Catholic Church," 1040) obviously contradicts the teaching of the Orthodox Catholic Faith.

Therefore, the so-called "messages of the Blessed Mother of Naju" are seen as the results of Mrs. Julia Youn's personal experience or meditation, and do not bear evidence that they are private revelations, although Mrs. Julia Youn and her followers insist that they are authentic, private revelations.

1.2. The phenomenon alleged as the miracle of the Eucharist falling from heaven is contradictory to the doctrine of the Catholic Church which says that only through a legitimately ordained priest's consecration does the Sacrament of the Eucharist begin to exist (cf. "Catechism of the Catholic Church," 1411; Denzinger-Schonmetzer collection of Church documents, DS, 902) even when the priest is in grave sin, because when the Sacraments are celebrated properly in accordance with the intention of the Church (ex opere operato "from the action performed"), Christ and His Holy Spirit operate in them (cf. "Catechism of the Catholic Church," 1128; DS 793-794).

Furthermore, the alleged phenomenon that as soon as Mrs. Julia Youn received the Eucharist, it changed into a lump of bloody flesh in her mouth is also contrary to the doctrine of the Catholic Church which says that even after the bread and wine are transubstantiated into the body and blood of Christ with the formula of a priest's consecration, the species of bread and wine remain (cf. Pope Paul VI's 1966 encyclical on the Holy Eucharist, "Mysterium Fidei;" DS 782, 802, 1321, 1640-1642, 1652).

Such phenomena do not enhance the faith of people in the Eucharist existing under the species of bread and wine. On the contrary, they seem to act as an element which causes great confusion and embarrasses the people's faith in the Eucharist.

1.3. Various strange phenomena said to have happened in the vicinity of Mrs. Julia Youn (phenomena arising from her body and the statue of the Blessed Mother) and her personal vision also produce no evidence to prove that they are truly supernatural and thus from God. Perhaps, they can be said to show some preternatural power. (I.e. preternatural power means DEMONIC IN ORIGIN.)

2. I, the Archbishop of Kwangju archdiocese, as the authentic teacher of the faith and legitimate shepherd, sincerely ask all the priests, Religious and the faithful in the diocese and those who are involved in "the events arising in Naju" to receive these pastoral instructions in the spirit of obedience to the authentic teaching authority.

    1. For the sake of one's personal interest, to consider the alleged disturbing phenomena like "the events arising in Naju" and insist on them as supernatural is regarded as an act of breaking the unity of the Church's faith. So publication or dissemination of all materials for propaganda relating to "the events arising in Naju" (e.g. printed or published literature, audio/video tapes, photos, etc.) is officially forbidden (cf. "The Code of Canon Law," 823, 1), and it is also my request that the relevant documentation not be seen or viewed.

Archbishop Victorinus K. Youn

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

NOTE THE LAST PART – insisting the messages and 'miracles' of Julia Kim and Naju are of supernatural origin or spreading any material about her 'messages' etc., in disobedience to the archbishop is REGARDED AS AN ACT BREAKING THE UNITY OF THE CHURCH'S FAITH.

The mystic was condemned several times after this.

Julia Kim and her followers refused to obey the Archbishop in all his requests, and priests who did not have jurisdiction in the local parish Church were coming to hold pilgrimages and religious services in private in honour of the weeping state and the messages, etc.

NOTE: according to the Council of Chalcedon (451 AD) - "Religious and laity who run monasteries, martyrs' shrines or almshouses who do not obey the local bishop's authority." are commiting an offence that is EXCOMMUNICABLE. (Subject to Excommunication.)

As a result the next appointed Archbishop had to come out with an even stronger decree in 2008 –

ANY MEMBER OF THE CLERGY, RELIGIOUS OR LAITY THAT TAKE PART IN THE UNAPPROVED PRIVATE SERVICES CONNECTED WITH JULIA KIM IN NAJU and the APPARITION SITE IN HONOUR OF THE FAKE APPARITIONS IS AUTOMATICALLY EXCOMMUNICATED- this ALSO INCLUDES ANY MEMBER OF THE CLERGY, RELIGIOUS AND LAITY OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH:

:::::::::::::::::::::

Official decree of Archbishop Chang Moo-Choi, 2008, (Source, click here):

“First, I have reached the judgement that ‘Julia Yoon of Naju and those who believe in the phenomena associated with her do not have the intention to form unity and harmony with the Catholic Church any longer. They continue refusing to follow the Ordinary’s declarations (January 1, 1998 and May 5, 2005) and pastoral directives (May 5, 2001) and only raise objections to them. They have not followed my request and command which I made during my personal visits to the home of Julia Hong-Sun Yoon and her husband, Man-Bok Kim, together with several witnesses (March to August 2003), that they resume their ordinary faith life (such as attending Sunday Masses, going to Confession before major feast days like Christmas and Easter, and making offerings to the parish church) and present their financial records on all the funds received. They have not responded to my ultimatum in February 2005, either. They continue promoting ‘the phenomena associated with Julia Yoon of Naju’ as ‘private revelations’ or ‘miracles’, predicting the construction of the so-called ‘basilica’ to raise money, spreading the misleading information that the Holy Father and the Holy See recognize (Naju), and criticizing me, the College of Korean Bishops, and the Korean Church through printed matter and electronic media. (cf. their promotional pamphlets, books, newspapers, and Internet sites).

I make my final confirmation that such deeds of theirs are by no means the correct and balanced attitude of the faithful; nor are they the acts of sound devotions or ceremonies of worshipping God. Accordingly, I declare that the clergy, religious and lay people who hold or participate in the administration of the Sacraments or the celebrations of the Sacramentals, which I have prohibited, at the unauthorized ‘chapel’ or ‘the Blessed Mother’s Mountain’ incur the penalty of AUTOMATIC EXCOMMUNICATION (cf. Canon #1336 and 1364). As these are acts of disobedience against the Ordinary’s pastoral directives and judgements, violations of the Canon Law (cf. Canon #1369, 1371, and 1373), and refusals to form unity as well as inflictions of damage to the fellowship in the Church community, this (penalty) applies NOT ONLY to the faithful who belong to the Kwangju Archdiocese BUT ALSO to any of the clergy, religious, and lay people in the Catholic Church.

January 21, 2008 Feast of St. Agnes, virgin and martyr
Signed by Most Rev. Chang Moo Choi
Archbishop Andrew Chang-Moo Choi

It is a very rare occurrence for an official of the Church to have to declare excommunication against a fake mystic, but the 'miracles' have also been declared ' possibly preternatural', aka demonic, so apparently it was needed.
