!? 'Blessed' Rembordt (Rembord) the 'Monk' (1689-1793)

!? 'Blessed' Rembordt (Rembord / Rembold) the 'Monk'  (1689-1793)

STATUS: MISINFORMATION

Rembordt, found also under the spellings Rembord, Rembold, Remboldt, etc., was not a monk, and is not Blessed.  This is misinformation.

This Birch Tree Prophet's true name is  Johann Bernhard Rembold 'Spielbahn', also known as Bernhardt Rembordt, (but not to be confused with the medieval French book printer, Berhardt Rembold / Berhtold Rembolt who died c. 1518.)

Apparently, Rembold under his other spellings is sometimes called a 'monk' in prophecies published on the internet, and is mistaken to be a 'blessed', but German accounts show Rembold was married.  He made many connections with monasteries, hence there could have been confusion as to his state in life due to his prophecies and his close connections with religious, but it is apparent he was a travelling minstrel, not a monk.

Some sites list both, with the assumption they are two seperate individuals, but that is not the case.

'Blessed Rembordt' or the 'German monk Rembordt' etc, is often simply described as coming from the 18th century, but the mysteryunravels as on other sites he is given the extact same dates as Rembold 'Speilbahn', and, their prophecies are the same - meaning one is correct, and the other is a mistake or a duplicate.

I've searched for Rembordt with the German translations for the words 'monk' and 'blessed' - and not one search term comes up in German for a prophecy or a bunch of prophecies attributed to a Rembordt or a Rembold as a 'monk' or 'blesssed'.  But, there are plenty of references to the prophecies of Rembold 'Spielbahn', which confirms that Germans know he is not a monk or blessed.

This error turns up on French sites, and also English ones.  Again, someone must have confused his close connection with the various monasteries and assumed he was a monk.  How he became 'blessed' I am not sure, I can only hope it was an honest mistake and the someone didn't attempt to make Rembold Speilbahn's prophecies more creditable-sounding by stripping him of his secular occupation as a travelling minstrel and turning him into a blessed mystic monk, and also muddying up the dates be simply saying he came from the 18th century so people couldn't find out who really made the prophecies.

Regarding the English mistake, Yve's Dupont obviously continued the confusion with his book 'Catholic Prophecy' as he published the error with Rembold's prophecies split in two: one part correctly attributed to 'Bernhardt Rembordt', the rest to 'Blessed Rembordt'.

In all, there is no 'Monk' or 'Blessed' Rembord / Rembordt.
