"Ven." Mother Marie Josepha of Bourg (1788-1862)

VENERABLE ANNE ROSE JOSÈPHE DU BOURG (1788-1862), also known as Venerable Mother Marie De Jésus du Bourg, and in English simply as 'Mother Josepha of Bourg'.

She was born June 25, 1788 at Château de Rochemontès, sixteen kilometers from Toulouse. She was the daughter of a martyr of the French Revolution and entered the religious life in 1809. Later she went to Limoges where she founded the Congrégation des Soeurs du Sauveur et de la Sainte Vierge, (Congregation of the Sisters of the Saviour and the Holy Virgin).  The French version of Wikipedia has a page on her order, click here.

From the information I can glean on the Internet from French sites, she received the stigmata, diabolical attacks from the devil, levitation, and supernatural ecstasies.

The introduction for her cause for canonisation occured November 21, 1920, and received the degree of 'non cultu' in March 22, 1927.  Processes de non cultu are instituted to prove that the decrees of Urban VIII regarding the prohibition of public worship of servants of God before their beatification have been obeyed; they are generally conducted by the bishop of the place where the relics of the servant of God are preserved. I have yet to find out when or if she was declared 'Venerable' but she is described as such on French sites.  Possibly might be a confusion with the general term as 'venerable' as someone worthy of respect rather than the definition associated with the canonisation process, but still, her case is open and she is definitely a "Servant of God" in that case.

She received invaluable revelations about the future of France which she collected in a pamphlet called “Vues intérieures” (Inner Views) in 1857 - Our Lord told her that it was not for her that these words were spoken to her, obviously, they were for France and the world.

There are four main revelations by Ven. Mother du Bourg that were published in 'Inner Views' and are in complete agreement with the revelations of Sr. Marie Letaste, Marie-Julie Jahenny, and the “Ecstatic of Tours”.

Prophecy One

For 1830. “A year before the July Revolution, (i.e 1829) I was in the chapel; I was going out to visit the poor and the sick, when Jesus Christ tells me interiorly, but in a very distinct way: "Stay with Me, my daughter, I am the first poor you must visit and console! " So I had an interior view of Jesus Christ that the wicked crucify anew.

“I understood that there was a conspiracy against Religion and the state; it broke out about a year later. When it took place, I begged with tears the Lord to take a glace of compassion on us, and I understood then that the royal child who was brought into exile would return later to
rule France. ( i.e. HENRY V, the Count of Chambord, the 'Miracle Child' who was exiled in 1830).

"The holy Archangel Saint Michael, in particular, let me feel his presence, told me several things in advance and that he was the special protector of France, and that one day he would bring Prince Dieudonné back. (NOTE: this is in complete conformity with the revelation of Marie-Julie Jahenny who declared St. Michael would be sent to the 'resting place of the head of France' and march with Henry V and his armies back into France.   One of Henry's V's middle names is DIEUDONNÉ.)

During the reign of Louis Philippe, I heard the Lord say with a threatening voice to this king:

“You have despised Me; you had My people apostatised by having them work on Sundays. Youth has been delivered to the ungodly.”

And I understood then that this king would be punished, and I was told that time was drawing near; and soon the revolution of 1848 broke out. The ramparts and fortresses built in defiance of the law of God (Sunday), could not defend the one who had elevated them for his safety according to the beautiful words of Saint Felix: “With the protection of Jesus Christ the strongest walls are only cobwebs.” I understood above all that it was the profanation of Sunday which drew on France the most terrible scourges.

(Observations in connection with this prophecy: In 1830, King Louis-Philippe I and the National Assembly had usurped the throne of France from the true heir, Henry V, the Count of Chambord. Our Lord complained to the mystic Sr. Marie Letaste that this was an evil action, the people had chosen this king and had rejected the king He sent them, Henry V. Also, Our Lord revealed to Marie-Julie Jahenny that the Orléans branch of the royal house of France to which Louis-Philippe belonged was out of favour with Heaven and that none of Louis-Philippe's heirs were the destined Great Monarch. Henry V, the 'Miracle Child' of exile was the chosen Great Catholic Monarch and that all the prophecies refer to him. We will see in the next prophecies that Ven. Mother du Bourg will also continue to confirm this.)

Prophecy Two

For the years 1848, 49 and 50. This revolutionary turmoil caused much blood to be shed, to commit many crimes; but, however, the wicked were still arrested, thanks to the intercession of Mary, the angels and the holy protectors of France, and by the prayer and the good works of the just. Jesus Christ was on His throne; his arm was raised to strike the earth. Mary, placed on another throne on His right hand, tried to stop His arm; she wanted to throw herself at His feet to beg for mercy; Jesus Christ stopped her and said: "My Mother, command, your prayers can not be denied."

He added that the crimes of men went so far, that if He did not punish them, the plagues would later only be more terrible; Mary, however, always pleaded for mercy. It was (on behalf of) France. The exterminating angels, sword in hand, were waiting for the signal to strike the Earth. Mary turned to the saints of France and encouraged them to intercede for their country; there was then a treaty between justice and mercy. Justice will punish, but mercy will come, and we will be saved! There will be a terrible crisis; but it was said to me that after this time of trial, the Lord would bring back Prince Dieudonné.

(IMPORTANT OBSERVATION: in the prophecies by Ven. Mother du Bourg, the roysl child exiled in 1830 would be brought back, and 'Prince Dieudonné' is mentioned twice and from the French texts I've found is literally printed with a capital P and D. English translations have missed the importance of this and translated it literally as the phrase 'prince given by God', or 'heaven sent prince'  but it is obvious from French sources Prince Dieudonné is a NAME and not a symbolic phrase.

Hence, Ven. Mother du Bourg has revealed another detail that confirms Marie-Julie Jahenny's prophecies that the Great Catholic Monarch Henry V is indeed Henry V, the Count of Chambord, as he also received the name Dieudonné, 'Gift of God', in addition to being called the 'Miracle Child'. Henry's full name is Henri Charles Ferdinand Marie Dieudonné d'Artois, duc de Bordeaux, comte de Chambord. See more about Marie-Julie Jahenny's revelations and the history of Henry V, click here.   Ven. Mother du Bourg saw 'Prince Dieudonné' exiled in her own lifetime and declares here that God will BRING HIM BACK, God revealed to Marie-Julie Jahenny how this will happen.)

Prophecy Three

"The Lord complained to me in a terrible way; (i.e. Our Lord's complaints were terrifying to hear). He complains of this fury to seek pleasure; he complains of the scandalous dances, the indecency, and the luxury of adornments, and if He warns against in the Holy Gospel even a single bad look, even a single bad desire, is it any wonder that He punishes, by terrible punishments, the corruption of morals, which is the necessary consequence of all these abuses, the source of so many crimes, and which leads, with the ruin of good morals, that of health and the loss of souls. The peoples, as always, have imitated the bad examples of the great: there is no longer a dike at the torrent of furious passions (i.e a dike to stop the evil torrent); divine authority is entirely unknown; men and children despise the laws of God, those of the family (i.e the divine rule God set for family life are disregarded); also the order is only factitious, (i.e. The divine norms regarding society are disregarded) the force and the constraint alone maintain it still."

Prophecy Four

The Lord's chastisements will fall upon us in various ways. Plagues, troubles, bloodshed. There will be in France a terrible reversal!  However these days will be shortened in favour of the righteous. God will elevate a model king, a Christian king, to the throne. The son of Saint Louis will love religion, goodness, justice. The Lord will give him light, wisdom and power. He Himself has prepared him for a long time and made him pass into the crucible of trial and suffering, but He will recall him from exile. He, the Lord, will take him by the hand, and on the appointed day He will place him back on the throne. His destiny is to repair and regenerate; then consoled religion will flourish, and all peoples will bless the reign of Prince Dieudonne; but then evil will take over and last more or less until the end of time. The light from above was not given to me for the last events of the world of which the Apocalypse speaks.
