(Also Dionysis von Luxemburg).  From what I have discovered on German sites, Dionysius was born in Luxembourg in 1652 and joined the Capuchins in the Rhenish Capuchin Province in 1669. He studied philosophy and theology in Bingen and Mainz beggingin in 1672, was a respected preacher and guardian in the monasteries of Worms (1690-91) and in other important monasteries such as Ehrenbreitstein, Trier, Bensheim (1699-1702) and later Cochem (1702). He was a contemporary of P. Martin von Cochem (1634-1712) and was apparently influenced by him. Dionysius produced several works of literature that is described as 'polemical, catechetical, ascetic', and produced hagiographical-legendary and homiletic works in a popular style. His first and apparently his most popular work to enjoy several reprints and translations is Leben Antichristi (“Life of Antichist” Frankfurt 1682) Dionysius of Luxemburg is considered one of the last representatives of medieval prophecy.

Since he was a respected preacher and scholar in good standing with the Church, and there have apparently been no condemnations of his work, and as his prophecy is in agreement with the other prophecies, and also the teachings of the Church, I have included it in the timeline.

In his writings concerning the Antichrist, he included a reference to the Great Catholic Monarch prophecies in that before the Antichrist comes, God will aid the Church one last time and give it a triumphant period by raising up a great ruler that will destroy the foes of the Holy Roman Empire, that is, the Turks, retake their lands and restore them to Christianity. However, Dionysius writes after the birth of the Antichrist, people will grow wicked again and lose the faith. (Note: Dionysis' writings are not sequential, he writes of the Antichrist first, then the great Christian ruler that will come before him.)

::::::::::::::::::

"After the birth of Anti-Christ the people of the world will be very wicked and Godless. People of real virtue will be very scarce. Pastors in many places will neglect the service of God, and will live with women. Even the religious will crave for worldly things. The churches will be dreary and empty like deserted barns ... at the time when Anti-Christ is about twenty years of age about the whole world will be without faith, subjects will be oppressed by rulers and others in authority.

In every period of tribulation God aided His Church, and He will do it in the time before the coming of Anti-Christ. From the midst of His Church He will raise up a Christian ruler who will perform most remarkable deeds. With divine assistance, this ruler will not only lead erring souls back to the true faith but also deal a heavy blow to the foes of the empire, the Turks, take away their empire and restore it to Christianity.”
