!? Johannes Friede
(1204-1257)
STATUS: 20th CENTURY HOAX,
hallucination, or POSSIBLY A DEMONIC APPARITION that gave a fake
prophecy supporting Arianism, Gnosticism and the Millenarian Heresy.
One of the more
spectacular prophecies circulating these last few years is a vision
attributed to a 13th century “knight” of St. John, aka the
Hospitalers, or Knights of Malta names Johannes Friede (1204-1257).
The detailed prophecy
seems to foretell our times, even the Three Days of Darkness, but it
is either hoax, hallucination, or possibly a demonic apparition if it
is true, for the story surrounding the prophecy is quite
freakish-there is no proof this Johannes Friede existed, and, his
alleged biography was 'written from beyond the grave' just as WW II
broke out.
A craftsman named “Peter
T” claimed to have received many visits from a “spiritual being”
through an 'inner perception' starting in 1932 that told him write
down various revelations and prophecies about the outcome of the war
and later about the end times. Basically, these were 'clairvoyant'
episodes. The spirit revealed itself to be a monk called Johannes
Friede who lived from 1204 to 1257 in the regions of Tyrol, the
Salzburg region and the Upper Bavarian Chiemgau, a person whom Peter
T said he had no knowledge of whatsoever. The spirit claimed to be
“in a spiritual relationship with the “apostle Jesus”, and the
evangelist and seer St. John of Patmos, so that the 'knowledge of the
New Testament of John is his own', which is obviously heretical
gibberish if Our Lord is only an 'apostle'.
For fear of the Nazi regime, Peter initially hid the prophecies about the end of the Hitler dictatorship, but later passed them on, only to a select few people under an alias.
After the end of the war,
Peter then is said to have trusted the spirit as its prophecies about
the war came true.
Finally, the spirit-monk
allegedly dictated his life story from the 13th century
featuring all the “persecutions” that he and his fellow believers
had to experience from the Vatican and the Catholic Church. Peter
wrote it down between 1948-1952. A few years later, a Linz
publisher published parts of the records and prophecies under the
title “Das Johanneslicht ”.
Why the Knights of St.
John, the Hospitalers, aka the Knight of Malta which are part of the
Church today would be 'persecuted' for 'gnosticism' by the Vatican
doesn't make sense as it was the Templars that were persecuted, but
the monk reveals he was a knight of the “Johanniter Order ”,
which actually refers to the GERMAN PROTESTANT BRANCH of the
Hospitalers.
This is an anachronism as
Lutheranism didn't exist in 1257!
The spirit of “Johannes
Friede” gives his “history”:
“Because of the loyalty
of his order to the dynasty of the Gnostic Babenbergs (976 - 1246),
the founders of Austria, and early Christianity, the brotherhood got
into considerable conflicts with the Vatican and the Church. This
conflict was exacerbated by disputes between the emperor and the pope
in the so-called investiture dispute, in which the brotherhood
confessed to being loyal to the emperor. At this historical rupture
point, the monks had to fight not only to keep their Arian-Gnostic
creed, but also to fight for their lives.” (Source: see fn. 1)
So, the spirit claims he
is a heretical Arian Gnostic as well as a Lutheran!
In all, either a hoax, or
possibly a fake revelation given by a demon, it is a heretical
pro-Arian text supporting Luther, and Gnostic interpretations of the
Bible. It is not an authentic Catholic prophecy or apparition at
all.
This is clearly visible in
the last section of the original German 'prophecy' that it clearly heretical. It
makes Christ out to be merely human and denies the Resurrection,
declaring that His body, i.e 'material shell' was not buried in
Jerusalem but in the cave of his birth which the prophecy declares
has not been discovered yet (!), but will be discovered by “three
seers”, then the 'original doctrine' obviously the Arian one!) will
be spread again and the Age of Peace will come, which will bring in
the 'Millennial Kingdom of the Messiah', hinting to a literal
interpretation of the thousand years in the Apocalypse:
“On the seventh day
after the reappearance of the light, (i.e after the Days of Darkness)
the ashes will have been taken up from the ground and produce a
fertility that people have not yet seen. But the ORION will lower its
beam of light to earth for three months and show the way to the
resting place of the greatest and most exalted person who ever walked
on earth. Because the material shell of JESUAE OF NAZARETH rests
intact in the unknown rock cave of his birth and will be found again
by three seers as evidence for the believers of the third millennium.
The living will proclaim his original doctrine in peace and establish
the millennial kingdom of the MESSIAH in the light of true brothers
and sisters for the honour of the Creator and for the salvation of
all humanity. "(2)
This is not only contains
condemned Arian heresies regarding Christ's nature, but also the
gnostic Chiliastic / Millenarian heresy condemned by the Church. No
Catholic should place any belief in the rest of this prophecy. (See
