!? Angel Names not in Scripture / Naming Your Guardian Angel

!? Using Angel 'Names' not in Scripture, 'Finding Out' the Name of Your Angel, or Naming your guardian angel.

SIGN OF A FAKE VISION and also an ERROR to be avoided.

One obvious sign of a fake vision or revelation if the prophecy or visionary starts revealing names of other 'angels' that are not in Scripture – i.e. if they reveal names other than St. Michael, St. Gabriel and St. Raphael.

According to the “Directory on Popular Piety and the Liturgy” from the Holy See's Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, the Church has decreed:

“The practise of assigning names to the Holy Angels should be discouraged, except in the cases of Gabriel, Raphael and Michael whose names are contained in Holy Scripture.”

This means, no using names that are not contained in Holy Scripture, and, this means we should not even try to find out our Guardian Angel's name.

Why?

To find out the name of our angel means we try to reduce a mighty spiritual being to our own level to try and make a personal human relationship with them, and, it is also a desire to find out knowledge that even God does not want us to know as He allowed only three of the nearly countless numbers of spirits He has created to reveal their names.

Often when an angel appears in the Bible, very rarely do they give their name. When Jacob wrestled with the angel and asked for his name, the angel didn't tell him.

To try to find out their name means not only being irreverent, but giving into the vice of curiosity in trying to find out that knowledge. You could attract a demon. Demons are only too ready to answer inordinate curiosity to discover the name of your angel. Remember Eve was first tempted by the Serpent due to curiosity when God told her and Adam not to even touch the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge let alone eat it.

Also, we do not have the right from God to give our angel any name we like – that also is a way of reducing them to our level, and also means to claim authority over them. We only have the authority  to name something over which we have authority, such as children, animals, etc, but we DO NOT have authority over our angels.

Demons get attracted by this activity too.  They want us to disobey, or, get into a bad practise through sheer ignorance so that when we find out this is bad to do,  then we get tempted with disobedience against the Church and still want to keep up using the name because "we like it and it sounds so nice!"

If an angel name seems 'suggested' to you in any way, recognise it as a temptation and avoid using it.

Also, you might see old prayers with the supposed names of other angels mentioned- be careful!

Many of these so-called 'angel names' actually come from Jewish cabala – that is, Jewish OCCULT mysticism. This is another way to attract a demon: using occult non-Christian, un-approved scriptural sources for angel names, and, is disobedience to the Church. Pride and disobedience were the demons' downfall, and they are just waiting for us to fall into these.

Obedience is crucial.

A fake vision will also disobey the Church and try to reveal 'unknown' names of angels or get you to name your angel, or try to 'find out' their name.

Christ and other saints from Heaven will not disobey His Church, and, neither will a true vision from Heaven.

A true vision from Heaven always directs a visionary to be obedient to their superiors and the teachings of the Church. If a superior gives an order to a true visionary or mystic, you will see Heaven will comply.

Also, St. Paul has warned us of false 'angels of light' that will try to bring 'new revelations' that are not passed on to us by Scripture and Holy Tradition – if any being tries to bring a new revelation, we are to disregard it completely as something not coming from God but as something Satanic.

This includes angel names not in Scripture, because, well, they are not revealed to us in Scripture, nor the Holy Tradition of the Church. If a so-called vision of Christ or Our Lady, etc., tries to bring a 'new revelation' of an angel name not in His own Church-approved Scriptures, this is one of those visions St. Paul warned us about!

If you see a vision spouting of supposed names of angels that are not one the three were are allowed to address by name, that is, St Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Raphael, then you know the visionary is a fake, what they say is false, and, may be from Hell itself.

Please share this as many people think it is okay to name their Guardian Angels, or, to beleive the names that are suggested to their minds when it could be 'something else' that is giving them a name and not their angel.
